The Freight Bill Software has been tailor made to offer a complete, on-line, integrated billing system for handling the freight billing part of the trucking software. The freight rating software has two divisions, one for loose freight and less than truck load (LTL) and the other for Intermodal and container.
The freight bill software accesses every piece of information created in the setup section, to be used in its operation. Its user friendly interface facilitates the operator on desk to add a new freight bill, edit an existing one, and delete it if it is not invoiced yet. Each bill can be rated automatically or manually (if the operator decides so). It gives the user, the ability to select accessorial charges (including fuel surcharge) from a populated dropdown list. The freight billing programs for truck companies also allows the user to enter shipper, consignee, bill-to customer, and other details pertaining to the freight bill.
Originated and editing operator will be displayed on the screen so that in the event of a problem, the right operator can be found out for drawing an explanation if required. Also the driver commission can be obtained and over written, if a demand arises.
Let’s see the functions of the two sections in brief.
In the Freight bill for loose freight and less than truck load (LTL), the user can enter the description, weight, and pieces of the shipment and find the rate – the system calculates the rate automatically with the aid of bill-to customer rate table setup. The printing option facilitates the operator to take print outs of the entered and saved information. The documents can be viewed and verified before going ahead with the print options. Another feature of the module is that the freight bill can be invoiced right-a-way, if wished so. The same can also be done after receiving all other paperwork.
With the Freight bill for Intermodal and container, the user can input all container related details like container number, size, and type, steamship line, B/L#, booking#, seal#, vessel, and voyage information. He can then group multiple containers in to one order, if one wishes so. The system calculates the rates based on zip code or city name, which can be edited at a later stage. Also the containers can be invoiced separately or as a whole. The printing option in this section facilitates the user to print the freight bills for a specific container or for the whole order. Open freight bill report and Freight bill report generated here can be used to keep tab of the ongoing deals.
