The Charge Description setup in the trucking software has been designed to input accessorial charges so that there is no room for any mistakes, which other wise could jeopardize the entire freight billing process. It is a part of the Rate Setup Module which is instrumental in setting the rates for the load and container.
The user interface is simple and easy to navigate. One can input predefined accessorial charges for the company with their names and rates, and assign each accessorial charge to a chart of account code. Once the accessorial codes are created, a list of drop down lists will be populated in the operation from which the operator can choose from. Once the operator selects an accessorial name from the drop down list, the corresponding rates will be displayed which can be edited or modified as per the requirement.
During its functioning with other co-modules of the Internet Ready Trucking Software, the charge description software is accessed by other modules to gather information which is necessary at various stages of the business process. For example, the charge description program is accessed by rate setup module and freight billing module to collect information about the accessorial charges inquired by the trucking companies.
Keeping this in mind, the design documents have laid down the range of flexibility the product needs to possess at the time of its operation in the automated environment. And the charge description software has been realized confirming to these standards, in cognizance with industry quality and testing criteria so that the module and the software has a whole functions in the most efficient and reliable manner.
